A seasoned executive in the financial technology space, James Stickland is tasked with driving business revenue and investment growth, as well as leading the company’s global go-to-market strategy for its flagship solution, VeridiumID. Based out of the company’s London headquarters, James comes to Veridium from the UK-based fintech firm Red Deer Systems. Previously, he held senior leadership roles at HSBC, JP Morgan Chase and CISCO SYSTEMS, where he specialized in expanding a pipeline of venture capital and accelerating innovation within emerging technology portfolios.
Previously a partner at White & Case, with over 20 years of professional experience in both the United States and Southeast Europe, Todd Shollenbarger oversees all organizational operations at Veridium. With a specialization in corporate law, he has led numerous large-scale transactions over the years, including privatizations, private equity, emerging market equities, foreign direct investment, corporate finance and joint venture projects. Todd is also a Certified Public Accountant, and holds a JD from Pepperdine University School of Law.
John Spencer is a seasoned IT Executive with 30 years experience in the software industry. John’s focus is on the development of Veridium’s product offerings, as well as looking into the future and detailing the product roadmap. In recent years, John led European Engineering teams, as well as being chief technology officer for Citrix in Northern Europe. John has been instrumental in working with development teams to deliver commercially successful and award winning products, experiencing strong customer acceptance across multiple industry types.
Dr. John Callahan is responsible for the development of the company’s world class enterprise-ready biometric solutions, leading a global team of software developers, computer vision scientists and sales engineers. He has previously served as the Associate Director for Information Dominance at the U.S. Navy’s Office of Naval Research Global, London UK office, via an Intergovernmental Personnel Act assignment from the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. John completed his PhD in Computer Science at the University of Maryland, College Park.
Dr. Francis Mather is a forward-thinking visionary in cutting-edge tech with over 15 years of experience in research and technology management, taking a deep knowledge of optics and translating creative thought into working solutions. Before leading the computer vision and liveness detection efforts at Veridium, he was the principal researcher of Sharp Corporation’s European lab, where he pioneered the world’s first dual-view display now used by Toyota and Jaguar Land Rover. Francis was elected a Fellow of the Institute of Physics in 2014, and earned his PhD in Physics from the University of Exeter.
Lori Cohen’s pitch-perfect delivery of savvy branding and lead-generation programs have proven successful time and again throughout her distinguished career. She has launched dozens of brands over the past decade, including Mobiquity, Tesora, Gazelle, and LimoLiner. With Lori as marketing lead, Mobiquity was named one of the fastest-growing companies in Massachusetts, and Gazelle experienced a 400 percent jump in revenue in the months after the company rebranded. Among her many accomplishments, Lori won a national Emmy reporting on technology while at Boston’s WGBH-TV and was a Nieman Fellow at Harvard University.
Geoffrey Knotwell has a true specialty for driving operational and financial performance that builds and sustains long term value. He is a CPA with more than 25 years of experience with the Big Four public-accounting and corporate-finance firms, where he gained a strong foundation in strategic planning, corporate governance, and performance improvement. Geoff has a career-long track record of solving incredibly tough business challenges and driving shareholder value through his executive leadership of finance, IT and cross-functional teams. He holds an MS in finance from Fairfield University.
Vincent Endres has an extensive background in commercializing new technologies with a proven track record of success in leading sales operations. Before joining Veridium as Senior Vice President of Sales, he ran the commercialization group at Sarnoff, the former research group of RCA that is now part of Stanford Research Institute. Vincent has also led the commercialization of concepts across a wide range of industries, such as healthcare, biotech materials, semiconductors, defense, digital technologies, telecommunication, and finance.
Virgil Tornoreanu has over 25 years of experience developing software, first as a developer and then managing numerous multi-jurisdictional software development projects throughout Europe. For the past eight years, he has primarily focused on managing teams of iOS and Android mobile app software developers. He holds a Master’s degree in Business Computer Science from Hagen University, as well as a Master’s in Civil Engineering and Construction Management from the University of Applied Sciences in Vienna.
