VeridiumID is built on the IEEE 2410 Biometric Open Protocol Standard (BOPS) which consists of a set of rules that governs communication between mobile devices, and a back-end server. This end-to-end architecture acts as the trusted manager for the acquisition and manipulation of biometric data, making use of the U.S. Department of Defense’s Trusted Computer System Evaluation Criteria (TCSEC), to ensure security and reliability.
IEEE 2410 is the first global standard for identity and authentication on the Internet and mobile devices. This open standard is the foundation for biometric authentication for digital transactions, physical access, Active Directory, and other instances where authentication is required.
