Veridium Announces Jason Tooley as Chief Revenue Officer

Veridium, a leading developer of frictionless digital authentication solutions, announced the appointment of Jason Tooley as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) on May 9. In this role, Jason will lead Veridium’s global market-facing teams to help customers and partners transform their identity and access management capabilities, while also supporting Veridium’s high growth, disruptive market strategy as businesses increasingly look to deliver secure authentication experiences using  biometrics.

A seasoned industry professional, Jason brings more than 20 years of successful sales and business leadership to Veridium, supporting digital strategies that solve critical business challenges. He joins the company from Veritas, where he served as Vice President for Northern Europe since July 2016.  Prior to Veritas, he held senior leadership positions at IBM Tivoli, most recently as Head of Tivoli for UK, Ireland and South Africa (UKISA). Previously, Jason worked with software businesses, including Citrix, Micromuse, Virtual Instruments and Mformation, serving Fortune 1000 customers.

“We couldn’t be more excited to have Jason join our team. His unparalleled experience in the industry paired with his impressive relationships with top technology decision makers and influencers will be instrumental in furthering Veridium’s continued momentum and visibility as more businesses look to adopt stronger authentication solutions,” said James Stickland, CEO of Veridium. “Following a $16.5 million funding round and the addition of 16 new global deployments in 2018, Veridium is preparing to enter its next phase of growth and Jason’s addition to the executive leadership team is exactly what we need to further drive customer adoption and partner development.”

Recognition from leading analyst firms like Gartner, which recently named Veridium in nine reports including the 2018 Hype Cycle for Identity and Access Management Technologies (July 2018) and 2018 Hype Cycle for Digital Banking Transformation (July 2018), further validates Veridium’s approach to authentication and the use of biometrics. Business leaders are increasingly looking for new technologies for secure digital customer and employee experiences – especially in the financial services sector as banks move toward digital banking, implement open banking strategies and support deregulated payment models. In his new role, Jason will focus on growing the business on a global scale and further advancing Veridium’s market position as a leading open platform for biometric-based authentication.

“In today’s digital age, businesses are targeting stronger, more agile authentication strategies in the face of increased challenges to manage risk and fraud, sophisticated cyber threats, expanded cloud adoption and new regulations like PSD2,” said Tooley. “Veridium’s success is a testament to the rapidly growing acceptance of biometrics for strong employee, customer and transaction authentication. I’m thrilled to join the organization at such a pivotal time to help better protect customers and partners, while also positioning Veridium as the market leader in authentication solutions.”

Jason is also a board member at techUK, a trade association for the technology industry that represents more than 900 technology companies across the UK.

Veridium’s authentication platform enables companies to secure identity and privacy in an all-digital world by proving you are who you say you are with biometrics and your smartphone, utilizing new, innovative technology like its 4 Fingers TouchlessID to ensure compliance, while also providing a convenient, secure experience.
